Pratney Family UpdateWinkie continues in his new room adjoined to the rest of the ICU.
He has been taken off of dialysis. Previously, his blood was being purified 24 hours a day to remove high levels of impurity in his blood.
The nurses continue to care for him, and encouraged us to spend the day with him. Mom and I spent quite a bit of time with him today, and we are hoping for some basic motor function skills to return soon. So far he seems to be able to, at times respond to verbal commands and questions with blinks or shows his alertness by raising his eye browes, but at other times remains unresponsive.Mom and I continue to try to adapt to the culture, and God has been sending us many new friends.Thank you all for your prayers.William Pratney Posted by Israel Anderson
